CRIF Ratings opens the consultation period on the methodological proposal for the corporate rating SME

CRIF Ratings has published a methodological proposal for the rating of non-financial companies of medium and small size (Small and Medium Enterprises).

CRIF Ratings invites, pursuant to ESMA rules (article 8 paragraphs 5 and 6 of Regulation (EC) No 1060/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 16 September 2009 and subsequent amendments), to send any questions, clarifications or comments within 30 days of the date of publication of this document, i.e. no later than 3 November 2018, to the e-mail address All comments received within the deadline will be published at the end of the consultation period unless the comment is marked as ' confidential '.



The current rating methodology under consultation (also “this document”) is published by CRIF Ratings pursuant to article 8, paragraphs 5 and 6 of Regulation (EC) No. 1060/2009 on credit rating agencies, and subsequent amendments. With this methodology under consultation, CRIF Ratings invites interested parties (issuers, investors and users in general) to submit comments for a period of one month, publishing the results of the consultation and the new rating methodology on its website together with a detailed explanation and the date of application. In addition, at the end of this period, CRIF Ratings will immediately publish the responses to the consultation, where these have been provided, on its website, except in cases where confidentiality is requested by the respondents to the consultation.
